The Marseilles pack, printed in 1730's

It is one of the only genuine Tarot decks surviving and in general circulation. The design and quality of this deck point to a fifteenth-century origin. However, the underlying structure of these cards are medieval rather than Renaissance. They express powerful structural, dreamlike imagery of the universal powers they depict.

Although most readers today shy away from this deck I feel it has something that is missing in the modern Tarot decks on the market today.
